A 7 room boutique luxury hotel spanning across two, large scale machiya traditional townhouses. Each room is designed differently with distinct theme. Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by a lobby with an expansive ceiling that have been preserved from when the space was once used as warehouse for lumber. The lobby branches off into 4 guest rooms and Japanese garden. Through the garden is the second Kyomachiyawith 3 guest rooms and dining/lounge space.

Rooms
Kashiwa Mochi
Sleeps: 2
Designed around the theme of traditional Japanese sweet called “Kashiwa Mochi”, this suite features a king size bed, an outdoor private bath and a separate lounge space looking over a private garden. In this room, several parts of the building structure were preserved in its original condition. This includes an old Japanese pine tree in the garden and two “Tokonoma” (traditional built-in display space) encasing contemporary objects that were custom designed or selected to highlight the theme.
Kuzukiri

Designed around the theme of traditional Japanese sweet called “Kuzukiri”, this room features a king size bed looking over a private garden and a hinoki bath with a floor-to-ceiling window opening into the garden. Preserved from the original structure, the room also features a “Tokonoma” (a traditional built-in display space) encasing contemporary objects that were custom designed or selected to highlight the theme.
Yatsuhashi

Designed around the theme of traditional Japanese sweet called “Yatsuhashi”, this room features 2 semi-double beds, a hinoki bathtub and a lounge space housed under an open ceiling with wooden beams preserved from the original structure. Additionally, this room contains pieces of furniture that were custom designed or selected to highlight the theme.
Kushi Dango

Designed around the theme of traditional Japanese sweet called “Kushi Dango”, this room (located on the 2nd floor) faces the main garden and features a king size bed, a tatami lounge space and a private bath. In this room, several parts of the building were preserved in its original condition. This includes a tall ceiling with wooden beams and a “Tokonoma” (a traditional built-in display space) encasing contemporary objects that were custom designed or selected to highlight the theme.
Monaka
Sleeps: 2
Designed around the theme of traditional Japanese sweet called “Monaka”, this room overlooks the main garden and includes a king size bed and a hinoki bathtub underneath a skylight. As an interpretation of the theme, one of the unique features of this room is a large “fusuma” (sliding doors made of washi) custom-designed and handmade by a local craftsman that spans across an entire wall of the room.
Rakugan
Sleeps: 2
Designed around the theme of traditional Japanese sweet called “Rakugan”, this room features a king size bed and a private bath. In this room, several parts of the original structure were preserved, such as wooden beams at the entrance, ceiling panels in the bedroom, sections of “tsuchikabe” (mud walls) and antique windows characteristic of kyomachiyas. Additionally, the room features several contemporary objects that were custom designed to highlight the theme.
Yokan
Sleeps: 3
Designed around the theme of traditional Japanese sweet called “Yokan”, this room features a king size bed, a private garden, a tatami lounge space and a bathroom with a Shigaraki ceramic bathtub. Additionally, this room contains contemporary objects and pieces of furniture custom designed or selected to highlight the theme.
